Event Overview
The New Windsor Rodeo Run is a running event in its 37th year. It takes place in New Windsor, Illinois, at the New Windsor Fair & Rodeo Associates grounds. The scheduled date is Saturday, August 15, 2026.
Distances
The event offers three race categories:
- A 2 Mile run/walk.
- A 4 Mile run.
- A kids fun run for ages 10 and under, which is untimed.
Course and Schedule
All races start and finish at the east entrance of the rodeo grounds. The course is an out-and-back route on blacktop streets. Water stations are available at miles 1 and 3 for the longer races, with splits recorded at each mile. Packet pickup begins at 7:00 AM. The 4 Mile and 2 Mile events start at 8:00 AM, followed by the kids fun run. An awards ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 AM.
Awards and Registration
Awards are given for both the 2 Mile and 4 Mile races. Top overall male and female finishers are recognized, along with age group awards. Registration pricing operates on a tiered system, with lower fees available from May 1 to August 4. Event timing and scoring are provided by ShaZam Racing.
