Event Overview
The New Windsor Rodeo Run is a 37th annual running event featuring multiple distances. It takes place in August, with the event starting at the East Entrance of the Rodeo Grounds in New Windsor, Illinois.
Distances
Participants can choose from three race options:
- 2 Mile Run/Walk
- 4 Mile Run
- Kids Fun Run (untimed) for ages 10 & under
Course Details
The 2 Mile and 4 Mile courses are out-and-back routes on blacktop streets. There are splits at each mile, and water is available at miles 1 and 3 for the 4 Mile run.
Schedule & Registration
Packet pickup begins at 7:00 AM. The 4 Mile Run and 2 Mile Run/Walk start at 8:00 AM. An awards ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 AM. Registration fees vary by distance and date, with early registration offering a lower rate. A t-shirt is included with registration but is not guaranteed if registering after August 4.
Awards
Awards are given for both the 2 Mile and 4 Mile events. Overall top male and female finishers are awarded based on gun time. Age group awards are given to the top two males and females in various categories, based on net time. Age group double-dipping is not allowed.
