New Cumberland Public Library 5K on the 4th
The New Cumberland Public Library 5K on the 4th takes place on July 4, 2026, with the course beginning and ending in New Cumberland Borough Park near 500 Front Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070. The event is sponsored by the New Cumberland Olde Towne Association and the Friends of the New Cumberland Public Library as part of the Friends group celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Benjamin House library site.
The course is mainly flat and runs around the park and along tree-lined streets in the area. There is a water stop at the halfway point. Timing is provided by Black Cat Timing. Post-race refreshments and awards are provided.
Registration opens April 2, 2026 and closes June 30, 2026. The listed registration fee is $30.00 and race-day registration is $35.00. Short sleeve T-shirts are available for registrations received by May 31. Registration and packet pick-up begin on race day at 7:15 am at the #3 large pavilion.
Awards are given to the top male and top female finishers overall and to top male and female finishers in the following age groups: under 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and over 70. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
