New Albany 5000
The New Albany 5000 is an annual running race held in New Albany, Indiana. This event marks the fifth year of the competition. Participants follow a route that tours the Ohio River Greenway located in the downtown area. The course utilizes the recently constructed infrastructure along the riverfront to provide a paved running surface for all participants.

The event serves as a fundraiser for local youth athletics. All proceeds from the race are used to support the student-athletes on the New Albany High School cross country teams.
Competitors are eligible for performance awards based on their finishing times. Recognition is provided to the top three male finishers and the top three female finishers.
