Never Forget 5k

Never Forget 5k & Fun Run

The Never Forget 5k & Fun Run takes place on September 12, 2026, at Hatbox Events Center, 640 S 40th St, Muskogee, OK 74401. The event is organized by Muskogee High School Junior ROTC and offers a memorial run and walk to mark the events of September 11, 2001.

Two distances are offered:

• 5 km
• 1 mile Fun Run/Walk

T-shirt availability is guaranteed for registrations completed by September 3. Race timing is provided by I:40 Race Service using chip timing.

Awards are given by age group and overall placement. Medals will be awarded to the top three males and top three females in each 10-year age category: 12 & Under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 & Over. Trophies are awarded to the top three overall males and top three overall females.

• Early bird through the end of July: $30 for the 5k, $17.50 for the Fun Run
• August 1 to September 11: $35 for the 5k, $20 for the Fun Run
• Race day sign up: $40 for the 5k, $25 for the Fun Run
