Nevada Day Classic
The Nevada Day Classic is an annual road race in Carson City, Nevada, held during Nevada Day weekend. The event follows a road course through the historic west side of Carson City and offers two distances.
- 8K run
- 2 Mile run/walk
All entrants receive a custom medal and a T-shirt while supplies last; the event is capped at 550 participants. The race is organized by the Tahoe Mountain Milers in partnership with Guide Dog for the Blind, Kaia Fit, Tangerine Design & Web, and Lynn Mentzer Timing. All net proceeds go to Guide Dogs For The Blind.
Packet pickup is scheduled for October 30 at the Brewery Arts Center. Race day packet pickup and on-site registration are located at McFadden Square on Curry Street. Registration closes October 28. On-site registrations and packet pickup accept credit or debit cards only; no cash transactions are accepted. There are no refunds, but entries may be transferred to the following year.
Costumes are highly encouraged. Dogs on course are not permitted as they are not covered by the event permit. The start and finish lines are located on Curry Street at McFadden Square, and the course will not use Carson Street. Course routes follow city streets through the west side neighborhood, with separate loops for the 8K and the 2 Mile course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
