About the race
Nehemiah 5K Run/Walk is the third annual 5K event in Heyworth, Illinois, held on September 18, 2027, at 100-154 E Cole Street near Heyworth Splash Pad Park. The event honors the memory of a two-year-old child who passed away on September 20, 2024. Proceeds from the event support While We're Waiting, an organization that offers free weekend retreats and local grief support groups for parents who have experienced the loss of a child.
