3rd Annual Nèg Mawon 5K Run/Walk
The 3rd Annual Nèg Mawon 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for October 3, 2026 at Francis D. Martini Memorial Shell Park, 1015 Truman Parkway, Hyde Park, MA. The event raises funds for the Haitian American Students Corporation and marks an occasion to acknowledge Haitian heritage and community support.

Registration details note that in-person run and walk registration opens June 7, 2026 and closes October 1, 2026, while virtual registration closes September 3, 2026. The registration fee is $42.00 per entry. Registered participants receive an official race T-shirt, a finisher medal, pre- and post-race refreshments, and access to the community celebration and cultural experience.
The event is inspired by the Nèg Mawon, described as a symbol of freedom, courage, and perseverance.
