Needles 50k : Easton, WA

Needles 50k is a self-supported trail event near Easton, WA, offered in two distances:

The course is a single loop that links Domerie Divide, Thomas Mountain, French Cabin Mountain, Little Joe Lake, Thorp Mountain, Kachess Ridge, and Silver Creek. The route includes roughly 10,000 feet of cumulative climb. Course markings and aid stations are not provided; participants must carry all food and equipment and treat or filter creek water before drinking. There will be untreated water available at multiple creek crossings and lake outlets at approximate miles 1.7, 12.3, 14.5, 16.1, 19.9, 25.2, and 27.9.

Organizers will email a GPX track at least one week before the event; runners must preload the route into their chosen map app and carry a phone with the course loaded. The official finish requires submitting a GPX track and photos taken at specified checkpoints, including the summit of Thorp Mountain, to verify course completion. Entrants must meet a precondition of completing a 50 mile trail run in 12 hours or less. Start and finish location may change, facilities are minimal, and Leave No Trace principles apply. Registration closes June 20 at 11:59 PM PT. A full refund is offered if an entrant is not satisfied. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
