Nebraska Marathon : Papillion, NE (September 5, 2026)
The Nebraska Marathon takes place in Papillion, Nebraska, offering four chip timed race distances: Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K. Courses start and finish at Werner Park and run alongside Prairie Queen Lake. All distances are on paved road or paved trail and the marathon and half marathon are USATF certified and Boston qualifying.
Event gear options include a cotton/poly blend t-shirt or an upgraded ladies’ fit tank top for a $5 charge. Finish line perks listed for all distances include finisher medals, ice cream, and a live band. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers overall and in each age group for each distance; finisher medals are provided to all finishers. Age categories are defined from 10 and under through 70 and older.
Support on course includes water at all stations, sports drinks at marathon and half marathon stations, and GU energy gels at marathon stations. Marathon and half marathon pacers will be available. The event is part of the Run Omaha Race Series and offers a virtual category with packet mailing options. Runners and walkers may use headphones at their own risk. No dogs are allowed; strollers are permitted for walkers and joggers and must start at the back of the field. All participants must sign an online waiver.
