The event is a licensed and officially measured 5K held on the paved paths around Queen's Park in Chesterfield. The course is run over multiple laps and is described as undulating. Surface type is road and pavement. The event is organised by North Derbyshire Running Club and takes place at Queens Park, Boythorpe Road, Chesterfield, S40 2ND.
Entry is limited to a maximum of 150 participants and the minimum age for entrants is 11 years. Entries close on 21/08/2026 and two entry categories are listed: affiliated at £5.00 and unattached at £6.00. Transfers are permitted up to two days prior to the event and numbers are collected at the Pavilion on race night. A cash prize of £100 is offered for any male or female who breaks the course record.
