Bassetlaw Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon : Worksop College
Bassetlaw Triathlon Club stages two races on the private grounds and surrounding roads near Worksop College. The event area includes woodland and open roads with views toward Clumber and Thoresby, and uses the college grounds for the run courses and transition.
Distances for each race:
- Bassetlaw Sprint Triathlon: 411m pool swim, 22.6km bike, 5km run
- Bassetlaw Sprint Duathlon: 5km run, 22.6km bike, 2.5km run
The swim takes place in a pool and includes entry and exit steps. The bike course is an undulating road route of 22.6km through surrounding countryside. Runs are off road on undulating terrain around the college grounds; transition areas cover a short 50m distance over a mixture of surfaces. Aid stations are provided on the run stages.
Event services and amenities listed for competitors include chip timing, number racking, parking, changing facilities, toilets, finishers medals, prizes, a T shirt, and published results. The organiser notes a permit has been issued and the event expects around 200 competitors.
