Event Overview
The Inferno - Edale's Ring of Hell event is a set of trail races in the Peak District, offering four distances: an Ultra, a Marathon, a Half Marathon, and a 10-mile run. The races start in Edale, a short walk from a train station.
Route and Terrain
The course quickly ascends Ringing Roger. Runners can expect varied natural terrain, including sheep tracks, muddy paths, rocky descents, and a climb up a waterfall. The event is described as self-navigated, with GPX files and marked maps provided for download. Organizers may arrange a free recce of the course for interested groups.

- 41 miles with +/- 10,000 ft
- 28 miles with +/- 6,800 ft
- 15.5 miles with +/- 4,000 ft
- 10.5 miles with +/- 2,800 ft
Cut-off times range from 5 to 16 hours depending on the distance. For the Ultra and Marathon distances, mandatory kit includes a bivi bag, waterproof jacket, a basic first aid kit, and 1000ml of liquid, regardless of weather.
What's Included
All finishers receive a medal. Checkpoints provide a variety of food and Mountain Fuel snacks. A first aid trained Race Director is present.
