NCTRaces: 15x : Solon Springs, WI
NCTRaces: 15x is a last runner standing event held at Palmer's Landing in Solon Springs, Wisconsin. The course is a one mile out and back loop consisting of a half mile out and a half mile back. Runners must complete the 1 mile loop within a 15 minute window each lap; failure to finish within the window results in elimination.
The Start/Finish area at Palmer's Landing includes a fully stocked aid station and space for runners to set up canopies, cars, or personal aid areas. The running route is about 99% single track on the North Country Trail, with the parking lot Start/Finish area as the primary exception.
The event raises funds for the Brule-St. Croix Chapter of the North Country Trail to support trail projects and maintenance. There are two registration price options to reflect the event's variable nature; some entrants may run short distances while others may aim for many laps, and the price options relate to expected supplies and volunteer time.
