Dragin' Tail 5 Mile Run/Walk
The Lake Nebagamon Volunteer Fire Department organizes the annual Dragin' Tail 5 mile run/walk in Lake Nebagamon, with start and finish at the Lake Nebagamon Village Auditorium. The event is a community fundraiser that supports the department's emergency response work.
Funds raised are used to purchase protective gear, medical supplies, firefighting tools, and communication devices. A recent fundraiser fully outfitted a new one-ton truck. The current fundraising goal is to raise $20,000 to upgrade critical safety gear and acquire battery powered extrication tools to support rescue efforts and firefighter safety.
Registration opens January 31 and closes June 15. The registration fee is $35. Entries received by June 15 are guaranteed a t shirt. Packet and bib pick up is handled at the Lake Nebagamon Auditorium.
