About the Event

The NC Triangle 5K - Head for the Cure is a charity run/walk event. This is the 12th annual edition. It takes place at Southern Village Green in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

The Race

The event features a 5K run/walk distance. A separate Kids Fun Run of 100 meters is also part of the schedule.

Event Day Information

The event includes packet pickup on race day. Special recognitions are presented after the race, including the Keeping the Faith award for survivors and the Legacy of Love award for caregivers and supporters. A group photo for brain tumor survivors is also scheduled.

Purpose and Beneficiaries

Funds raised from the event benefit local and national brain cancer programs. Local beneficiaries include the UNC Health Brain Tumor Neuro-oncology Program and Path to Hope.
