NC Seafood Festival Twin Bridges 8K
The NC Seafood Festival Twin Bridges Race is a certified 8K running course held on October 3, 2026. The course starts at the NOAA Laboratory in Beaufort and finishes on the Atlantic Beach Causeway. The route crosses the Morehead City Bridge, passes through historic downtown Morehead City, crosses the Atlantic Beach Bridge, and concludes on the AB Causeway, providing views over two bridges and the Crystal Coast shoreline.
Awards include medals and trophies for overall top male and overall top female finishers, and medals for the top male and female in each age category. Age groups are 18 and under, 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and older. All participants receive a certificate with their final time.
The registration fee for the 8K begins at $45 and increases in later registration periods, reaching $60 on race day. Participants who register before August 28 can guarantee a Twin Bridges T-shirt size; shirts are available after that date based on availability. Parking is provided at the Atlantic Beach Causeway shopping center with shuttle service to the start; vehicles are not allowed on Pivers Island and dropoffs require a short walk of about 0.25 mile to the start area.
