Navy SEAL LT Michael P Murphy Run Around the Lake 4M Half Marathon - 2026
Presented by Ronkonkoma Rotary, this event on June 27, 2026 is a fundraiser to support veterans and honors Navy SEAL LT Michael P. Murphy. The program includes in-person and virtual participation options and benefits several veteran-focused organizations.
Distances offered:
- 4 Mile run/walk
- Half Marathon (three-loop course)
- Fun Run
- Virtual 4M and Virtual Half Marathon (upload window 6/27-7/5)
Participant amenities include a t-shirt and a dog tag for all 4M and half marathon entrants, a finisher medal for half marathoners, and promotional items for early registrants. There is a bag drop at the common start line; the organizers do not assume responsibility for items left there. Portable toilets will be placed approximately every 1.5 miles and water stops every 1 mile. Half marathoners will find two electrolyte stops on each loop.
Event parking and race-day bib pickup are located at the Ronkonkoma Train Station South Parking Lot at Easton St and Railroad Ave. Packet pickup is also available at St. Joseph’s Church gym. The half marathon is part of the 2026 USATF-LI Grand Prix Road Race Series and serves as a championship race.
Awards are planned across multiple categories including overall, veterans, age groups, masters, wheelchair divisions, teams, and special cups. Registration fees are applied to race expenses and are non-refundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
