Navy SEAL LT Michael P Murphy Run Around the Lake 4M Half Marathon
The Ronkonkoma Rotary presents a community fundraiser in Ronkonkoma, NY that supports veterans and honors a Navy SEAL LT along with other service members. The event offers multiple race options and both in-person and virtual participation.

Amenities include a post-race BBQ and beer, a pasta dinner at St. Joseph's Church gym (45 Church St), participant shirts and dog tags for all 4M and half marathon entrants, and finisher medals for half marathon finishers. The first 250 in-person 4M and half marathon registrants receive a commemorative beer mug. A bag drop is available at the common start line; the Rotary is not responsible for unclaimed items, which will be donated.
Course support features porta-potties approximately every 1.5 miles, water stops about every 1 mile, and two electrolyte stops per loop for half marathoners; the half marathon is run over three loops. Start lines and finishes are on Ocean Ave with the fun run finishing on Kirk Ave. Event parking is at the Ronkonkoma Train Station South Parking Lot at Easton St and Railroad Ave. Shuttle buses transport participants and spectators between the parking area and start/finish zones; strollers are not permitted on the buses.
Awards are given across male and female overall and veteran placings, age-group categories in five-year increments, masters and wheelchair divisions, team standings, and several special awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
