Ronkonkoma Rotary's Run Around the Lake honors Navy SEAL LT Michael P. Murphy and benefits veteran-focused organizations. The event takes place on June 27, 2026 in Ronkonkoma, New York. Distances offered include:

The half marathon is organized as three loops of the course. All in-person 4M and half marathon participants receive a t-shirt and a dog tag. In-person half marathon finishers receive a finisher medal. Virtual participants may upload times and up to five photos during the upload window.
Logistics, amenities and awards
Packet pickup is available at St. Joseph's Church Gym on the Thursday and Friday before the race, and race day pickup is at the Ronkonkoma Train Station South Parking Lot (Easton St and Railroad Ave). Course support includes porta-potties every 1.5 miles, water stops every 1 mile, and two electrolyte stops per loop for half marathoners. A bag drop is provided at the common start line; unclaimed bags will be donated.
Post-race offerings include a pasta dinner at St. Joseph's and a BBQ and beer after the event. Awards are given by overall place, veteran categories, age groups, masters, wheelchair divisions, teams, and special cups and spirit awards.
