Navy SEAL LT Michael P Murphy Run Around the Lake 4M Half Marathon
This community race in Ronkonkoma, New York is a fundraiser to support veterans and honors Navy SEAL LT Michael P Murphy and other service members. The event includes in-person and virtual options, race-day photos, and post-race food and drinks.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon three loops, starts on Ocean Ave, finishes at the traditional finish
- 4 Mile starts on Ocean Ave, finishes at the traditional finish
- Fun Run starts on Ocean Ave, finishes on Kirk Ave
Amenities and services include a post-race BBQ and beer, early-registrant merchandise for in-person runners, event t-shirts and dog tags for participants, and a finisher medal for half marathon finishers. A bag drop is provided at the common start line; unclaimed bags may be donated.
Course support details: porta potties approximately every 1.5 miles, water stops every 1 mile, and electrolyte stations placed for half marathoners on each loop. Split and finish-line photos are available for in-person runners; virtual participants may upload photos and receive a finisher certificate.
Logistics: event parking and day-of bib pickup are located at the Ronkonkoma Train Station South Parking Lot, with shuttle buses servicing the start area. Packet pickup is held at St. Joseph's Church gym at 45 Church St, Ronkonkoma.
