Navesink Challenge
The Navesink Challenge is a running event held in Middletown, New Jersey, during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The event features two primary distances:
- 12k Race
- 5k Race
The 12k distance has a strict time limit of 1 hour and 55 minutes. Roads are scheduled to reopen shortly after this limit, and participants still on the course at that time will be removed. Participation in the event is subject to specific local regulations which prohibit the use of drones, strollers, bicycles, and dogs on the course.
Logistics for the event are centered around Bodman Park and the M.Y.A.A. Little League Field clubhouse. Participants can collect bibs and shirts at designated times leading up to the race. Any awards or shirts not claimed on the day of the event are donated to local charities, as the organizers do not provide mailing services for these items.
An afterparty is held following the races at a local brewery in Oceanport. This gathering includes team award recognition and raffle prizes. All registrations are final, with no refunds, deferrals, or credits provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
