Navesink Challenge 12k & 5k

The Navesink Challenge 12k & 5k is a running event on Sunday, November 29, 2026, in Middletown, New Jersey. It is presented by the Jersey Shore Running Club and described as a Thanksgiving weekend tradition.

The event offers two race distances: a 12K race starting at 10:00 AM and a 5K race starting at 10:10 AM. Both races start and finish at Bodman Park on Market Street. Bib and shirt pickup is available on the Friday and Saturday before the race at Birdsmouth Brewing and the M.Y.A.A. Little League Field clubhouse, and on race day at the clubhouse from 8:00 AM to 9:50 AM.

An afterparty is held at Birdsmouth Brewing from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM, featuring one complimentary beer for runners and volunteers, food, and raffle prizes. There is team award recognition. The township of Middletown prohibits drones, strollers, bikes, and dogs on the course, though service animals are permitted with prior contact.
