Navesink Challenge 12k & 5k
The Navesink Challenge is a running event on November 29, 2026, organized by the Jersey Shore Running Club at Bodman Park, 120 Market St, Middletown, NJ 07701. The event features two race distances:
- 12K
- 5K
Registration opens April 30, 2026 and closes September 30, 2026. The published registration fee for each race is $36.00. The 12K has a strict 1 hour, 55 minute time limit; participants still on course at the cutoff will be removed and roads will be cleared at that point.
Packet pickup and shirt distribution occur on the days prior to the race and on race day at designated locations, including Birdsmouth Brewing and the M.Y.A.A. Little League Field clubhouse at Bodman Park. Items not claimed on race day, including awards and shirts, are donated to local charities. There are no mailings for unclaimed items.
An afterparty is scheduled at Birdsmouth Brewing in Oceanport with food, raffle prizes, team award recognition, and one complimentary beer for runners and volunteers only. The event policy notes the Township of Middletown prohibits drones, strollers, wheelchairs, bikes, and dogs; service animals are allowed with prior contact to organizers.
