Beat The Bounds, Patterdale is an annual boundary-route event in Patterdale, Cumbria, following the parish boundary of the Ullswater Valley. The event offers multiple route options across mountainous terrain and includes navigation on mapped parish lines. Entry fees contribute to Patterdale C of E Primary School and St Patrick's Church; the school requires fundraising of £17,000 per year. Checkpoints include Kirkstone Pass with snacks, hot and cold drinks and VOOM Nutrition supplies. Bespoke maps and GPX routes will be made available in advance. Trackers are fitted to participants to record location and confirm passage of strategic points. Cut off times will be applied at Kirkstone Pass and Boredale Hause for safety. Public transport is available between Patterdale School and Kirkstone Pass for some starts. Age restrictions apply: minimum 18 for the full and first half events; the second half minimum is 15 when accompanied by adults under specified ratios; children on the family walk must be accompanied by adults.
