12th Annual Native Breast Cancer Awareness Walk/Run
This community event takes place at Elk Grove Regional Park in Elk Grove, California, on October 17, 2026. Its primary purpose is to increase breast cancer awareness and screening, with a particular focus on Native American women. The event is the twelfth annual gathering organized to encourage early screening and to support breast cancer survivors.

Registration has two price periods: early bird registration at $45 runs from June 15 to August 9, and late registration at $55 runs from August 10 to September 11. Registration includes an event t-shirt, a swag bag, light breakfast, lunch, drinks, and a raffle ticket. A free mammogram screening will be available on site via a mammography van; screenings are provided by appointment for the day of the event.
The program includes a Fun Zone with carnival games, a jump house, a balloon artist, and face painting. Additional on-site elements include health booths, exercise activities, a Garden of Hope, honoring of breast cancer survivors, traditional healing, live entertainment, and raffles. Packet pickup will be held prior to the event at the Wilton Rancheria Tribal Warehouse; the office is noted as closed on October 12. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
