Event overview
The 2026 National Wine Day event is a running and walking event at Three Fox Vineyard in Delaplane, VA on May 23, 2026. The program includes a 5k and a 1-mile option, plus a separate kids 1-mile. The 5k course is three laps around the vineyard loop and combines gravel road, grass, and cross-country sections with some hills on the backside; the finish area is adjacent to an outdoor wine tasting bar. Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k & Back of the Pack Series and the Sippin’ Series. A virtual race option is available.

The event is chip timed. Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt, a glass of wine, and live race results will be posted on Athlinks; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Awards are given to the top 3 men and women overall and to first and second place in standard age categories (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+); overall top-3 finishers are not eligible for age-group awards. Two water stations are located near the start/finish and are accessible each loop; Gatorade is available at some stations. Restrooms are at the winery. The event partners with the EOD Warrior Foundation. Registration fees and shirt guarantee deadlines are published in advance; race-day registration is available with a race-morning price increase.
