Natchez Trace Trail Run
The Natchez Trace Trail Run takes place on the Natchez Trace Trail near Garrison Creek Trail in Franklin, TN. The event offers multiple trail distances and includes both footrunning and rucking divisions. The field is limited to a total of 150 participants.
The course includes long stretches of uninterrupted trail, cumulative elevation gain, and some rugged sections. The 50-mile is an out-and-back course. The marathon, 13-mile run, and ruck divisions are one-way and use bus transport to the start.
Distances
- 50 Miler out-and-back
- Marathon one-way with bus transport
- 13-Mile Run / Ruck one-way with bus transport
- Half Marathon
Race rules require participants to remain on the designated trail at all times. Pacers and outside assistance are prohibited. Competitors must carry their own hydration systems because aid stations may not provide cups. Tampering with course markings or leaving litter can lead to disqualification.
Crew access is limited to designated rest stops and roadside stopping along the Natchez Trace Parkway is not permitted; violations may result in runner disqualification.
HardRuck divisions are split into a traditional rucking division using a backpack and a weighted vest division. Weight requirements depend on bodyweight, with specified minimum dry weights for each division. Weigh ins are mandatory before the race, approved weights only, and random weight checks may occur on course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
