9th Annual Nashville Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K
The 9th Annual Nashville Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K takes place on October 10, 2026 at Shelby Bottoms, located at Shelby Avenue and S. 20th Avenue in Nashville, Tennessee. Proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charity; donations are tax deductible.
The event program includes:
- 5K timed run
- 1 mile Children's Fun Run
Registration packages include a unisex adult or youth T-shirt, a bib with timing chip, and a participant "swag" bag. Professional race day timing services are provided by Bald Eagle Multi Sport Events. Awards and medals will be presented after the run. Prizes are planned for top male and top female overall finishers, top male and female in each age group, and top male and female ostomates.
Race registration bags will contain ostomy education materials and at least one ostomy pouch provided by sponsors; organizers encourage non-ostomate participants to wear a pouch to increase awareness and empathy.
There is ample free parking for up to 1,000 cars and free admission to Shelby Park and Shelby Park Community Center. Participants may create or join race groups or teams; this is not a team fundraiser. Volunteer roles include water and snack stations, set up, take down and clean-up among others.
Fundraising details include a refund of the registration fee for those who raise $150 or more. Additional fundraising levels are noted at $250 and $450 with related awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
