18th Annual East Nashville Tomato 5K
The East Nashville Tomato 5K is an annual community event held in Nashville, Tennessee. The race serves as the traditional start to the Tomato Fest weekend and takes place at East Park. The main event is a certified and chip-timed road race.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km running race
- 1 km Kids Fun Run
The race route is open to both runners and walkers. Strollers and pets are permitted on the course. To ensure safety and organization, the 5 km distance is limited to a maximum of 2,000 participants.
All registered participants receive a race t-shirt and a finisher medal. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as winners in various age categories consisting of Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+), Senior Grand Masters (60+), and Senior Grand Masters (70+).
Participants often wear tomato-themed costumes during the event. Early packet pickup is available the day before the race at the Margaret Maddox Family YMCA, or on the morning of the event at East Park.
