Narrowleaf Lake Run
Narrowleaf Lake Run is a seventh annual autumn running event at Boyd Lake State Park in Loveland, Colorado. The event offers multiple distance options on mostly paved, wide walkways with about a half mile of off road on the south loop. The course has minimal elevation gain and provides lake and wildlife views with no vehicle traffic on the running route.
Distances include:
- 1 Mile Pumpkin Run (bring a pumpkin or use one provided)
- Heavy 5K (4 mile)
- Heavy 10K (7 mile)
- Heavy 15K (10 mile)
- Kids Fun Run (1/2 mile or 1 mile)
Aid stations are placed on the course with water, electrolyte drink, snacks and gel packs; cups are biodegradable. Aid station frequency varies by distance and some stations are passed multiple times depending on the route. Volunteers, course markings and signs are provided, but athletes are responsible for knowing the course layout. Routes are subject to adjustment for weather; as of August 20, 2026 the published routes are accurate.
The event is USATF sanctioned and described as a 100 percent plant based event. Participant amenities for the main distances include an event shirt, finisher medal, race bib, free photos, professional chip timing, post race food and drinks, and podium awards.
