About the race
The Narrowleaf Lake Run is a community running event held on October 31, 2026 at Boyd Lake State Park in Loveland, Colorado. This is the seventh annual edition and the organiser lists USATF sanctioning and a 100% plant-based event focus.
The course follows wide, well-maintained paved walkways with about a half mile of off-road surface on the south loop. The route is described as nearly flat with minimal elevation gain and lake and wildlife views. Aid stations supply water, an electrolyte drink, snacks and gel-packs; cups at the main aid stations are biodegradable and all aid stations include dog water bowls. The course layout requires athletes to know their route; volunteers and course markings are provided. Parking is located within a short walk of the start/finish area and volunteers assist with parking.

- 1 Mile Pumpkin Run carry or use an event pumpkin
- Heavy 5K (4 Mile)
- Heavy 10K (7 Mile)
- Heavy 15K (10 Mile)
- Kids Fun Run 1/2 mile or 1 mile
The race notes how each distance encounters aid stations multiple times (for example the 4 mile passes the south #1 aid station three times). Registered 5K/10K/15K and 1 Mile Pumpkin entrants receive an event shirt, finisher medal, race bib, free event photos, post-race food and professional chip timing.
