Nappanee Apple Festival Donut Dash 5K

About the race

The Nappanee Apple Festival Donut Dash events take place on September 19, 2026, at Nappanee Missionary Church, 70417 SR 19 North, Nappanee, IN 46550. The church is located two miles north of downtown Nappanee and south of Wakarusa. The course starts and finishes at the church. The Apple Festival will mark its 50th anniversary the same weekend.

Multiple race options are offered:

• 3.1 miles Donut Dash 5K Run/Walk
• 1 mile Kids Donut run for ages 12 and under
• 1 mile Donut run for ages 13 to 100
• 4 miles Donut Dash Combo (5K plus 1 mile)

Registration fees listed for individual events include $15 for the 5K, $6 for each 1-mile race, and $20 for the combo. A Multi-Person Pricing option reduces the fee by $3 per registrant when four or more people register together. Race day registration is online only; no paper registration will be accepted.

Packet pick-up is scheduled Friday evening, September 18 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday morning, September 19 from 6:30 AM to 8:15 AM at Nappanee Missionary Church. Shirts after August 31 are distributed first-come, first-served and unclaimed shirts will not be mailed. The first 900 finishers in the 5K and 1 mile run receive a finisher medal. All participants receive an apple, a donut, and apple cider at the finish line.

Awards: 1 mile awards go to the top three boys and top three girls in 12 and under and 13 and older. The 5K awards include overall top three men and women and top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups who receive custom apple awards. Awards are presented shortly after the last 5K participant crosses the finish line and will not be mailed afterwards. Chip timing is provided by Watt’s My Time. Parking and restrooms are available at the church. Dogs and pets are not allowed, except certified service animals. No refunds are offered.
