The Nappanee Apple Festival Donut Dash takes place at the Nappanee Missionary Church, located two miles north of downtown Nappanee and south of Wakarusa. This event coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Nappanee Apple Festival. The course starts and finishes on the church grounds at 70417 SR 19 North, where parking and restroom facilities are available for all participants.
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- 1 Mile (Separate categories for ages 12 and under, and ages 13 to 100)
- 3.1 Miles (5K Run/Walk)
- 4 Miles (Donut Dash Combo including both the 5K and the 1 Mile run)
The event features professional chip timing. At the finish line, all participants receive refreshments including an apple, a donut, and apple cider. Awards are presented after the conclusion of the races. For the 1 Mile run, awards are given to the top three boys and girls in two age categories. For the 3.1 Miles 5K, overall prizes are awarded to the top three men and women, while the top three male and female runners in sixteen different age groups receive custom apple awards.

Dogs are permitted at the event provided they remain on a non-retractable leash and stay outside the church building. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
