Nappanee Apple Festival Donut Dash 5K and 1-Mile Run/Walk
The Donut Dash takes place on September 18, 2027 at Nappanee Missionary Church, 70417 SR 19 North, Nappanee, IN 46550. The event uses a scenic out and back course through the surrounding countryside, passing farms and open spaces.
Distances offered include:
- 3.1 Miles Donut Dash 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Kids Donut for ages 12 and under
- 1 Mile Donut Run/Walk for ages 13 to 100
- 4 Miles Donut Dash Combo 5K and 1 Mile
Registration opens January 1, 2027 and shows closing dates on February 28, 2027; fees listed in the event information include $15 for the 5K, $10 for each 1 Mile, and $20 for the combo. Packet pickup is scheduled Friday, September 17 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM under the church carport and Saturday morning inside the church from 6:30 to 8:20 AM. T shirt size guarantees require registration by August 28 at midnight; shirts are not mailed after the event and may be picked up by a designated person.
All finishers receive water, a donut, and bananas. Chip timing is provided by Watt’s My Time. Awards include Custom Wooden Apple Awards for 1 Mile top finishers by gender and age divisions, plus 5K overall and age group awards. Parking and bathrooms are available at the church.
Pets are not allowed except certified service animals. Strollers are permitted with guidance to start toward the back and yield to faster participants. All registrations are non refundable. The event is held rain or shine; race officials may delay, pause, modify, or cancel the event for dangerous weather, with a specified lightning pause of 30 minutes after the last audible thunder.
