GOTR Naples 5K : 5K Celebration
The GOTR Naples 5K is a season-closing, celebratory event held on December 6, 2026 in Naples (exact location TBD). The event centers on a 5K course equal to 3.1 miles and is presented as a noncompetitive, community celebration that gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment.
Every registered participant who completes the course receives a commemorative medal. Program participants and coaches are already registered through the council and do not need to register again. Community members, family, and friends may register separately; registration fees listed are $40 for adults and $30 for youth under 18.
The event includes additional activities such as face painting, happy hair stations, water stations, and merchandise sales. Accessibility is emphasized: the course is open to walking, running, pushing, or rolling at each participant’s own pace, and designated parking spots are available for people with disabilities.
Safety measures include required race bibs, assignment of running buddies, course monitoring with head counts, and a council safety plan with trained staff and volunteers. Local nonprofits are invited to participate on site, and organizers recruit volunteers for tasks including set-up and tear down, registration, course marshals, running buddies, water stations, cheer stations, and activity stations.
