Napanee Heritage 5K and Kids 1 Mile
The Napanee Heritage 5K and Kids 1 Mile is a charity road running event held in downtown Napanee at the Lennox and Addington County Museum and Archives. The event has been held since 2016 and features two distances:
- 5 km
- Kids 1 Mile
The event provides tech shirts and a range of awards: top finisher medals for both races, top three age-category medals, top masters medals, a middle-of-the-pack prize, and numerous draw prizes. A cash bonus of $100 is offered to any male or female athlete who beats the current course record; the current record times are 14:52 for males and 16:44 for females.
The 5K is included in the KRRA Race Series and carries series points of 75 overall and 15 for age category. The Kids 1 Mile is part of the Kingston Kids Race Series. The Napanee Heritage 5K also serves as the first event in the Waterside Series, which includes the Wolfe Island Classic and the Wooly Bully Races; completing the three events earns an exclusive custom medal.
Race kits are available for pick-up at the museum before race day and on race day at the venue. Registration fees listed are $50 for 5K runners and walkers and $18.44 for the Kids 1 Mile, with a limited number of youth spots. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
