Sugarbush Shenanigans
An ultrarunning event held at Sugarbush Vineyards & Winery in Hillier, Ontario, presented as part of the OUTRace Series. Races use a repeated loop format on private vineyard property.
Race options include:
- 6 Hour solo.
- 12 Hour solo.
- 24 Hour solo.
- 24 Hour relay.
- 12 Hour night option starting in the evening.
The course is approximately 3 km per loop, flat and non-technical, with roughly half the loop on a private wooded trail and half through an open meadow and around the vineyard.
Rules and timing: participants complete as many loops as they can within their allotted time and may take breaks between loops. Timing is manual; participants must inform the timing crew if they leave the course before their race time ends. Relay teams may divide loops as they choose provided each member runs the loop at least once.
Camping and facilities: tent-only camping is permitted the Friday evening before the event at no extra cost if the camping option is selected during registration. A designated area is provided for tents, chairs, and drop bags. The property is private; disrespect or unauthorized access can lead to disqualification. An aid station will offer water and snacks, plus a hot food menu including made-to-order grilled cheese, perogies and late-night Fireball sangrias for those 18 or older. This is a cupless event; participants should bring their own water bottles. Porta potties will be available; there are no showers or change rooms.
Awards and swag: sustainable prizes will be awarded to the top male and female who accumulate the most loops in their timeframe, and to the relay team with the most loops. Swag is provided to all participants; sizes must be selected at checkout. Swag size selection cut-off is August 17. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
