NAMI Sauk Area 5K : Sterling, IL
The NAMI Sauk Area 5K is scheduled for July 11, 2026, at 3807 Woodlawn Road in Sterling, Illinois. The event offers two participation options: an in-person 5K Run/Walk and a Virtual 5K Run/Walk. Registration opens February 1, 2026, and closes July 11, 2026; the registration fee is $30.
Packet pick-up and swag distribution are available Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Sinnissippi Park (First Shelter) and on race day at Hoover Park Red Barn from 7:00 to 7:45 AM. Team registration provides a $5 refund per person for teams of four; this refund applies only to adult registrations and is issued after the fourth team member registers. Trophies are awarded to the three fastest teams.
A bag and key check will be available inside the Red Barn; the organizer is not responsible for items checked. Pets are not allowed on the course during the race or warm-ups. Strollers are permitted with walkers; participants are asked to keep runners at the front of the field, followed by walkers, then walkers with strollers.
A boxed lunch and water will be provided to all participants; meals are prepared and wrapped by a licensed restaurant kitchen. In case of severe weather, attendees should seek shelter in pavilion areas at Sinnissippi Park or at Hoover Park and the Red Barn.
