The Naked Bavarian is an ultra trail run at Blue Marsh Lake in Leesport, PA. The event offers the following distances:

Course and support
The course is on the north side of Blue Marsh Lake and follows a lollipop shape: 6.5 miles out, a 7 mile loop, and 6.5 miles back. The 40 Mile distance repeats the loop and allows access to a drop bag at mile 20. The surface is about 80% single-track trail and 20% gravel roads. Approximate elevation gain is 20M: 2000 ft and 40M: 4000 ft. Aid stations are located at miles 3.5, 6.5, 10, 13.5, 16.5, 20, 23.5, 26.5, 30, 33.5, and 36.5. Water and Gatorade are provided; runners should bring any personal gels.
Logistics, timing and awards
Bib timing uses old-fashion tear-off bibs and bibs must be visible on the front at all times. Runners must finish the distance they entered and may not drop to a shorter distance during the race. Bib pickup and the start/finish are at the Lake View Pavilion, Day Use Area, approx address 1420 Palisades Drive, Leesport, PA 19533. Entry fees listed are $39 for the 20M and $49 for the 40M; race-day fees are higher and cash only if available. Refunds are available up to 30 days before race day minus a fee; entries are final after that point, with limited bib transfers allowed. Awards include a small German-style finisher memento and top-3 overall and age-group prizes. Post-race food is provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
