Event overview
The Naked Bavarian is a no/low swag ultra trail run at Blue Marsh Lake in Leesport, PA. The event offers two distances and aims to reduce entry costs by omitting expensive race extras. Registration closes on Sun, Mar 1 at 11:59 PM ET. Bib pickup is at the Lake View Pavilion, Day Use Area (approx address: 1420 Palisades Drive, Leesport, PA 19533). If spots remain, on-site registration may be available on race day.

The course is on the north side of Blue Marsh Lake and follows a lollipop layout: 6.5 miles out, a 7 mile loop, and 6.5 miles back. The 40 Mile distance repeats the loop with access to drop bags at mile 20. Surface is about 80% single-track trail and 20% gravel roads. Trail conditions can include snow, ice, or mud at this time of year. Approximate elevation gain is 20M: 2000 ft and 40M: 4000 ft.
Aid stations are located at miles 3.5, 6.5, 10, 13.5, 16.5, 20, 23.5, 26.5, 30, 33.5, and 36.5. Gatorade, water, and snacks will be available; runners are advised to carry a bottle and bring personal gels if needed. Timing uses tear-off bibs; runners must keep their bib visible and complete the distance entered. Awards include a German-style finisher memento and top-3 overall and age-group prizes.
