17th Annual Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon & Coastal 5K : Myrtle Beach, SC
The event takes place on October 10, 2026 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, centered on the Boardwalk and Ocean Boulevard near 8th Avenue North. The course includes more than 5.5 miles of oceanfront running and finishes with an ocean view on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.

The half marathon requires participants to be at least 14 years old and enforces a 3:20:00 time limit (15:15 pace); runners who fall behind will be asked to move to the sidewalk and will not receive a finish time. Animals, baby strollers, skateboards, roller blades, unauthorized bicycles and other wheeled devices are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification. Service animals and ADA recognized mobility devices are permitted; participants using them must inform staff at bib pickup and are asked to start at the back for safety. The Coastal 5K has no water stop on course.
There are virtual options for both distances; virtual participants are not required to submit results, will not receive awards, and race swag will be mailed within two weeks after the race with shipping included in the entry fee. In-person registration opens January 4, 2026 and closes January 11, 2026; virtual registration closes August 1, 2026. Entry fees listed for in-person events are $60 for the half marathon and $37 for the 5K; virtual entries are listed at $70.
Race participants receive a participant medal, a long sleeve tech shirt (sizes guaranteed until September 25), a cinch bag, and post race snacks, water and Gatorade. A post race meal offering pizza, beer or soda, and smoothies is provided through Grand Strand Brewing Company.
Cash prizes for half marathon overall finishers are listed for top places and several overall categories; age group awards are given to the top three in each age group and will not be mailed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
