17th Annual Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon & Coastal 5K
The event on Saturday, October 10, 2026, includes a half marathon, a Coastal 5K, and virtual options for both distances. Both in person races begin along 8th Avenue North and finish on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, providing over 5.5 miles of oceanfront running on the course.
The half marathon enforces a 3:20:00 time limit; participants who fall behind that limit will be asked to move to the sidewalk and will not receive an official finish time. Due to construction, an early turn on the course has been changed to Flagg Street and the course will be recertified before race day. The half marathon route and a separate 5K route are described with street turn by turn directions and interactive maps.
Animals and strollers are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification. Service animals recognized under the Americans with Disabilities Act are permitted; participants with a service animal must inform staff at bib pickup and are asked to start at the back of the race. Wheelchairs and other mobility aids recognized by the ADA are permitted with the same notification and starting position requirements. Other wheeled devices are prohibited.
Participants receive a medal, a long sleeve tech shirt with sizes guaranteed until September 25, a cinch bag, finish line snacks and drinks, and post race pizza and beverages at Grand Strand Brewing Company. Cash prizes are listed for overall finishers in the half marathon, and awards are given to top finishers and age group places. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
