Myrtle Mile - Event details
The Myrtle Mile is a community running event held at Grand Lake at Market Common in Myrtle Beach, SC on October 17, 2026. The event features one-mile races in competitive and fun-run formats with separate heats for adults (14 and up) and children (13 and under).
Packet pick-up is available on the morning of the event at Shelter A from 8:00 am to 8:45 am. The race starts and finishes near Shelter A. Registered participants who sign up by September 30 will receive a t-shirt. Post-race refreshments are provided.
Entry fees are listed by category: adult competitive and fun-run entries have a listed fee of $30.00 and child entries have a listed fee of $20.00. Children age 3 and under are free. The fun run/walk is stroller friendly.
An awards ceremony is held for the competitive heat; recipients must be present to receive awards. Overall male and overall female winners receive Brooks running shoes provided by Black Dog Running Company.
Proceeds from the Myrtle Mile benefit Ryzon Refuge, a faith-based nonprofit serving Horry County that supports mothers and children experiencing homelessness. The organization operates a thrift store, Ryzon Redeemery, and raises funds to develop tiny-home housing to provide stable living spaces for single mothers and their children.
