Myrtle Mile
Myrtle Mile is a running event on October 17, 2026, at Grand Lake at Market Commons in Myrtle Beach, SC (Forbus Ct). The event offers both competitive races and fun run entries for adults age 14 and up and for children age 13 and under. All races cover 1 mile.
Registration fees are listed at $30 for adult entries and $20 for child entries. Packet pick-up on race day is at Shelter A. The race start and finish are located at Forbus Ct Shelter B.
All registered participants receive a t-shirt if they register by September 30 and receive post-race refreshments. An awards ceremony is scheduled for the competitive heat. The fun run and walk are stroller friendly. Children age 3 and under may participate without a registration fee.
All proceeds from the Myrtle Mile will directly benefit Ryzon Refuge. Ryzon Refuge is a faith-based nonprofit serving Horry County that supports mothers and children experiencing homelessness. It operates a thrift store called Ryzon Redeemery located at 1514 Bus US 17 North, Surfside Beach, SC 29575 to raise funds and provide affordable goods and supportive services. The organization plans a housing community of tiny homes designed to include a full kitchen, bathroom, and a comfortable living space for single mothers and their children.
