Myrtle Mile
Myrtle Mile is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Grand Lake at Market Commons in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The event is organized around Forbus Court, with packet pick-up on the morning of the event at Shelter A and race start and finish located at Shelter B.
The event offers one-mile runs in both competitive and fun-run formats for two age groups: adults aged 14 and up, and children aged 13 and under. Registration fees listed for the event are thirty dollars for adult entries and twenty dollars for child entries. Registration opens March 11, 2026 and closes October 16, 2026.
All registered participants will receive a race shirt if registered by September 30, and post-race refreshments are provided. An awards ceremony is planned for the competitive heat. The fun run and walk are described as stroller friendly, and children age three and under may participate without a fee.
Proceeds from the Myrtle Mile will directly benefit Ryzon Refuge, a faith-based nonprofit serving Horry County that supports mothers and children experiencing homelessness. The organization operates a thrift store, Ryzon Redeemery, to raise funds and provide support, and it plans to develop tiny homes that include a full kitchen and bathroom to offer longer-term housing for single mothers and their children.
