My Better Half Marathon : Seattle, February 8, 2026
My Better Half Marathon is organized by Orca Running in Seward Park, Seattle, with courses that run along the shores of Lake Washington near 5902 Lake Washington Blvd. S. The event recognizes that the land is historically inhabited by the dxʷdəwʔabš (Duwamish) and dxʷsəqʷəb (Suquamish) peoples.

- 5K - single loop
- Half marathon relay - teams of 2, must register together
Course notes: the half marathon comprises a first lap of 6.9 miles with a steep but short hill and a second lap of 6.2 miles that is predominantly flat. The 10K has a 3.7-mile first lap with some hills and a 2.5-mile flat second lap. The 5K is about 3.1 miles and begins with a steep quick hill. The relay exchange is located just before the finish line in the park gazebo; teams may split laps as they prefer.
Support and policies: aid stations appear every 2–3 miles and are stocked with water, Clif and GU gels, and Tailwind Endurance Fuel. The race is cupless to reduce waste; participants are advised to use a handheld bottle, hydration pack, or a small reusable cup. Free gear check is available but no drop bags are provided; participants should bring their own bag. Strollers are allowed for the 5K and 10K but not the half marathon. Dogs may not participate in races but are allowed at the start and finish areas. Walkers are welcome.
Entries include a long-sleeve 1/4 zip shirt, finisher medal, hot post-race oatmeal, and free race photos. Overall awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers by gun time; age-group awards are in five-year increments and must be picked up at the race. The event benefits Rebuilding Together Seattle. Parking includes about 200 spots in the park upper loop and additional on-street parking nearby.
