MVRRC Valentine's Day Fun Run - Lake Perris State Recreation Area
The Moreno Valley Road Runners Club hosts a community fun run at Lake Perris State Recreation Area. The event offers multiple distance options along a scenic, flat, traffic-free course on and around the Lake Perris Dam. All races start and finish in the dam area.
Distances:
- 1 Mile Kids Race - ages 12 and under
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K Run - two loops of the 5K course
Awards are given to the top three finishers in boys and girls for the kids race and to the top three males and females in the 5K and 10K open divisions. All participants in every race receive a finisher medal. Entry fees listed for the event are $5 for the kids 1-mile, $15 for the 5K, and $20 for the 10K. Race day payments accepted include cash, Venmo, Cash App, and Zelle.
Visitors should note a Lake Perris park entrance fee of $10 per vehicle. The main Fisherman Lot has limited parking; designated overflow parking may require a walk of about half a mile to the race area. Park rangers may issue citations for parking in unauthorized areas.
