Mutt Strut 5K Memphis 2026
The Mutt Strut 5K Memphis is a charity 5K event on October 10, 2026, held at 2080 Poplar Avenue in Overton Park, Memphis, Tennessee. The event benefits Dogs 2nd Chance, a Mid South dog rescue organization. The course is a scenic 3.1 mile route that starts at the Rainbow Lake Pavilion across from Overton Bark dog park.
All participants who cross the finish line receive a Mutt Strut 5K finisher medal. Additional medal awards are presented for overall top male and female, masters and grand master age divisions, and the top three finishers in each age group. Team fundraising opportunities are available and the event includes virtual 5K and ghost runner options.
Packet pickup is scheduled in the days before the race and on the morning of the event. There is parking available throughout Overton Park along Veterans Plaza, Golf Drive and Morrie Moss Lane.
Dog participation rules are specified: dogs must remain on a short leash in public areas, retractable leashes are not allowed, female dogs in heat and puppies under 12 weeks are not permitted, and owners must maintain control of their animals. Owners may be required to provide a current rabies certificate and assume responsibility for injuries caused by their pet. Dogs will be provided fresh water during and after the run.
