Mutt Strut 5K Memphis
Mutt Strut 5K in Memphis, Tennessee, is an annual fundraiser organized by Dogs 2nd Chance, a Mid-South dog rescue and 501(c)(3) nonprofit that does not receive government funding. The race is the rescue's primary fundraiser and proceeds support the rescue of stray, abandoned, and abused dogs throughout the Mid-South.
The event on October 10, 2026 marks the 10th anniversary at Overton Park. Participants may run, walk, or stroll with dogs along the Overton Park Old Forest trail. The course uses a new alignment with no limestone for participant safety. Strollers are allowed behind the runners. The distance is 5K (3.1 miles).
All finishers receive a medal; a new medal design will be awarded. Custom awards are planned for top overall male and female, top masters and grand masters by age brackets, and the top three finishers in each age group from youth through 80 plus.
