Mutt Strut 5k Memphis 2026
Mutt Strut 5k Memphis is a dog friendly charity run supporting Dogs 2nd Chance. The in-person event takes place at Overton Park, with the race beginning at the Rainbow Lake Pavilion across from Overton Bark dog park at 2080 Poplar Avenue, Memphis. The course is 3.1 miles and all finishers receive a Mutt Strut 5k medal.
The event offers an in-person 5K, a virtual 5K option, and a ghost runner t-shirt option. Registration has tiered pricing with early bird and later windows; registrations completed by September 10 guarantee a t-shirt. Packet pickup is scheduled for Thursday October 8 from 3:00 to 6:30 pm and Friday October 9 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, with additional pickup on race morning starting at 7:45 am.
Awards include medals for top overall male and female, age-based masters and grand masters by the listed age brackets, and the top three finishers in each specified age group. Dogs must remain on a short leash in public areas; retractable leashes are not allowed. Female dogs in heat and puppies under 12 weeks are prohibited. Owners must control their dogs, may be asked to provide a current rabies certificate, and assume responsibility for injury or damage caused by their pet. Fresh water will be provided for dogs during and after the run.
