2026 Must-Dash Family Fun/Run 5K - Santa Maria, CA
The Must-Dash Family 5K is a community running event benefitting People for Leisure and Youth, Inc. (PLAY, Inc). The event is organized by the City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department, Central Coast Running Club, and PLAY, Inc. The course is a loop that begins at Hagerman Sports Complex and follows the Multi-Purpose Trail off Skyway Drive and Broadway.
The program includes the Must-Dash Family 5K and shorter family-focused Diaper Dash events for very young children. The event welcomes runners, walkers, families, strollers, and participants of various abilities. Strollers and leashed dogs are allowed on the course; stroller riders whose adult accompanies them may not require a separate registration fee. Registration categories listed include youth and adult options with sample prices shown for youth and adult entries and free entry for Diaper Dash categories. In the spirit of Father’s Day, participants are encouraged to show spirit by wearing a mustache, real or fake, and to involve a father figure such as a dad, guardian, grandparent, mentor, or coach.
