Elevate Race, Santa Maria, CA
The Elevate Race is a two-day event on February 12–13, 2027 held on the campus of First Baptist Church and Valley Christian Academy in Santa Maria, California. It is the event's tenth annual edition and raises funds for a summer service and missions project run by the church's Elevate class for ages 18 to 30.
The event offers two formats with published entry fees: a timed 12 Hour endurance race and a separate 5k race with entry fees of $45 and $22 respectively. The 12 Hour uses a closed 1 mile loop. The 5k is run as three loops of 1.036 miles each. The course surface is approximately 70 percent dirt and grass and 30 percent asphalt and concrete, with about 25 feet of elevation gain per loop. Part of the loop is unlit; participants should bring a headlamp or flashlight for the back portion.
On-course provisions differ by race: the 5k will have water, Gatorade and bananas, while 12 Hour participants receive lap timing, hot food cooked to order and a solid food selection through the night. 12 Hour registration includes an optional free 5k the following morning. Awards are presented for the 5k and race-day parking is managed on campus. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
