Museum of the Shenandoah Valley 5k & 10k
The event is scheduled for February 7, 2027 at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley in Winchester, VA. It offers both in-person and virtual participation options and is part of several series that award points to participants.

The course features rolling hills, is paved for the majority of the route with some short gravel sections, and uses out-and-back layouts: the 5k is one out-and-back and the 10k is two out-and-backs. Walkers are welcome. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.
Participants receive a finisher’s medal, a technical Drifit event shirt, and chip timing. Water stations are provided: three stations on the 10k at about miles 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65, and one station on the 5k at about mile 1.55; Gatorade is available at some stations. Restrooms are located inside the museum. Packet pickup is available at the event; t-shirts are guaranteed for those registered by January 27 and are available on a first-come basis afterward. Race day registration is offered but shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for late registrants. Registration fees vary by distance and increase after specified dates and again on race morning.
Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series and the Winter Series. Awards include top three men and women overall and age group awards; overall top three are not eligible for age group prizes. Live results are posted on Athlinks and final series points are posted after the race. The event names the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley as its charity benefactor, whose mission is to preserve and enrich the Valley’s cultural life and heritage.
