Murray Lender 5K Bagel Run
The JCC of Greater New Haven presents the 15th Murray Lender 5K Bagel Run on Sunday, September 20, 2026. The main event is a USATF certified 5K course that winds through residential neighborhoods in Woodbridge. The starting line is located at 360 Amity Road on the JCC campus near the JCC Day Camps entrance.
The event program includes multiple options for participants and families:
- 5K USATF certified course
- Two mile Family Fitness Walk
- Kids Costume Race
The JCC provides free babysitting services during all races. Pre-registered participants of the 5K and the Family Fitness Walk receive event t-shirts. A post-race block party follows the races and includes awards for the top three men and women overall and in each age group, bagel medals for all participants, and a bagel breakfast featuring bagels and cream cheese from Katz's Deli. The event offers both kosher and non-kosher food options, encourages costumes for the Kids Costume Race, and includes a PJ Library Story Walk. Dogs are allowed on site.
