Multicultural Greek Council 5K
The Multicultural Greek Council 5K takes place on March 29, 2026, at Sandy Creek Nature Center, 205 Old Commerce Road, Athens, GA 30607. The event is presented by the Multicultural Greek Council and benefits its chosen philanthropy.
Participants are encouraged to dress as a favorite superhero or wear a cape. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Athens. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Athens serves youth ages 6 to 18 and has provided a clean, healthy, and safe environment for over 50 years; its after-school activities focus on skill building while allowing members to have fun.
The course is an out and back along the Oconee Greenway. Short sleeve cotton t-shirts are guaranteed to runners who pre-register by 03/16/26. After the run there will be water, fruit, and other refreshments. Awards will be presented to Overall Male, Overall Female, Masters Male, Masters Female, and the top three in male and female 10-year age groups from 10 and under through 80 and over.
The event is a member of the Black Bag Race Series. Finish line management and timing are provided by Classic Race Services. Race start may be delayed for storms; there are no refunds due to inclement weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
