Event Details
The Multicultural Greek Council 5K is scheduled for Sunday, March 29, 2026. The event takes place at the Sandy Creek Nature Center, located at 205 Old Commerce Road in Athens, Georgia. It is a part of the Black Bag Race Series.
Course
The route is an out-and-back course along the Oconee Greenway.
Registration and Fees
The entry fee for the 5K is $25. This price increases to $30 after March 16, 2026.
Participant Details
All participants are encouraged to dress to represent their nationality or ethnicity, and can run wearing their flag. Proceeds from the event benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Athens. This organization provides an environment for youth aged 6 to 18 and runs after-school activities.
Included Amenities
A short-sleeve cotton t-shirt is guaranteed for all runners who pre-register by March 16, 2026. After the race, there will be water, fruit, and refreshments.
Awards
Awards are given to the overall male and female finishers, masters male and female finishers, and the top three in male and female 10-year age groups, starting from 10 and under up to 80 and over.
Race Day Information
On the day of the event, registration and bib/t-shirt pickup begin at 9:00 AM. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 11:00 AM. The event is managed and timed by Classic Race Services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
