The Multicultural Greek Council 5K is scheduled for Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Athens, Georgia. The race takes place at Sandy Creek Nature Center, 205 Old Commerce Road, Athens, GA 30607. The event supports the Multicultural Greek Council's philanthropy; proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Athens. Participants are encouraged to dress as a superhero or wear a cape while running.
Details
The distance is 5K on an out-and-back course along the Oconee Greenway. Registration fees are listed as $25.00 race fee plus a signup fee, with the base race fee increasing to $30.00 after March 16, 2026. Short sleeve cotton t-shirts are guaranteed to runners who preregister by March 16, 2026. Water, fruit and other refreshments are provided after the race.
Awards are planned for Overall Male and Female, Masters Male and Female, and the top three finishers in male and female 10-year age groups from 10 and under through 80 and over. The event is part of the Black Bag Race Series. Finish line management and timing are provided by Classic Race Services. No refunds are offered due to inclement weather.
