Birchmore Memorial Run/Walk for Fun 5K
The event takes place on December 13, 2026 at Sandy Creek Nature Center, 205 Old Commerce Road, Athens, GA 30607, United States. It offers a timed in-person running and walking option and a virtual option for participants who prefer to complete the distance elsewhere.
The in-person option is a 5K course equal to 3.1 miles. A separate Virtual 5K Run/Walk allows participants to cover 3.1 miles at a location of their choosing and submit a finish time. Virtual participants are not eligible for t-shirts or race day awards.
Registration for the in-person 5K opens July 24, 2026 and closes November 30, 2026. Registration for the virtual 5K opens July 31, 2026 and closes December 12, 2026. The listed registration fee is $30.00 for each event option.
