Birchmore Memorial Run/Walk for Fun 5K
The event takes place on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Sandy Creek Park, 400 Bob Holman Road, Athens, GA 30607. The race is organized in association with the Kiwanis Club. Event management and timing are provided by Classic Race Services. The event is a member of the Black Bag Race Series and the Clover Glove Race Series.

Registration, course and awards
Registration fees start at $30 and increase after December 1, 2025. Virtual registration closes December 10, 2025. Runners are not charged the park gate fee; non-runners ages 4-64 are charged a $2 gate fee.
The on-site course runs on paved surfaces within the park and is USATF certified (GA19034DJ). Virtual participants may run 3.1 miles at any location and submit a finish time; virtual participants are not eligible for t-shirts or race day awards and their time cannot be used as a Peachtree Qualifying time.
Awards are given to Overall Male and Female, Masters Male and Female, and in five-year age groups from 10 and under up to 80 and over. On race day there is packet pick-up, the 5K race/walk, and awards presentation. In case of storms, the start may be delayed in 15-minute increments; there are no refunds for inclement weather.
