Lewisburg Ugly Sweater 5K
The Lewisburg Ugly Sweater 5K takes place at the Lewisburg Rec Center in Lewisburg, Tennessee. The course for the 5K event is located on the local golf course, providing participants with views of the grounds while they run or walk. Because the route utilizes the Lewisburg Golf Course, pets are not allowed on the course.
The event features two distinct distances:
- 3.1 Miles (5K run/walk)
- 1 Mile Kids Fun Run
The 5K is a timed race that serves as a fundraiser for the Marshall County High School (MCHS) Golf Team. All participants in the 5K receive a finishing medal and a t-shirt. Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, who receive trophies. Additionally, placement medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in several age divisions, ranging from 0-19 to 70 and over.
The Kids Fun Run, or kids dash, is an untimed one-mile event designed for children ages 10 and under. Registered participants in the youth event receive a mini-bib, a youth t-shirt, and a finishing medal.
