Mudskipper Canadian SwimRun Championships - Milton
The second edition of the Mudskipper SwimRun takes place on August 16, 2026 at Area 8 Conservation Area, 5437 Steeles Ave W, Milton ON. The event includes a one-lap 10K SwimRun and a two-lap 20K SwimRun used as the 2026 Mudskipper Canadian SwimRun Championship. The 10K course contains three swim stages and three run stages, totaling about 2.1 km of swimming and 7.9 km of running.
The event also offers open water swim races and new trail runs. Open water swims use a 1.5 km lap and include these distances:
- 1.5 km swim
- 3.0 km swim
- 5.6 km swim
Water temperatures are anticipated around 68 to 72°F (about 20 to 22°C). Wetsuits are optional for most events. Swim caps will be provided and must be worn for identification. Chip timing is used for all events. Facilities on site include washrooms, food service, and a water station at the start and finish area. The event notes basic SwimRun equipment considerations such as suitable shoes, goggles, optional paddles and pull buoys, and the need to train with any additional gear used in the race.
