Mudskipper Canadian SwimRun Championships : Milton
The event takes place on August 16, 2026 at Area 8 Conservation Area, 5437 Steeles Ave W, Milton, ON. This is the second edition of the Mudskipper SwimRun in Milton, combining SwimRun, open water swims, and trail runs.
The SwimRun uses a 10K course with three swim stages and three run stages, totaling about 2.1 km of swimming and 7.9 km of running. A two-lap format of this course forms the Canadian Championship distance of 20K.
Open water swims take place in the Area 8 quarry on a 1.5 km lap. Offered distances include:
- 1.5K
- 3.0K (two laps)
- four laps, approximately 5.60K
New trail races start around the quarry and continue into Kelso Park, with 7.5K (one lap) and 15K (two laps).
Event details and rules noted: swim caps are provided and must be worn for identification, numbers will be inked on the upper back or shoulder, chip timing will be used for all events, and there is no rain date with delays or cancellations only in the event of lightning. Facilities include washrooms and food. Check in is at the Canaqua Sports tent and a mandatory SwimRun briefing is scheduled before the race.
