Event overview
The Mudskipper Canadian SwimRun Championships and Milton Open Water Swim take place on August 16, 2026 at Area 8 Conservation Area, 5437 Steeles Ave W, Milton, ON. This is the second edition of the Mudskipper SwimRun - Milton. Canaqua Sports is the organiser and the event includes both SwimRun races and separate open water swim races.
Race formats and distances
- 10K Individual SwimRun - one lap, includes 3 swim stages and 3 run stages (approximately 2.1K swimming and 7.9K running).
- 20K Individual SwimRun (Championship course) - two laps of the 10K course; used as the 2026 Canadian SwimRun Championships.
- Open water swim distances:
- 1.5K
- 3.0K
- Four laps of the 1.5K course (longer multi-lap swim)
Race operations and facilities
Swim caps are provided and must be worn for identification. Participants will have a number inked on the upper back or shoulder. Chip timing will be used for all events. Check-in is at the Canaqua Sports tent. Washrooms and food will be available onsite. Organisers state anticipated water temperatures in the range of 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit. Wetsuits are optional for the open water swims. Event cancellation or delays would occur only in the event of lightning; there is no rain date.
