Mudskipper SwimRun - Milton and associated events
This is a multisport event set at Area 8 Conservation Area, 5437 Steeles Ave W, Milton, Ontario. The programme includes the Mudskipper SwimRun, Milton Open Water Swim, Milton Runs trail races, and the new Milton Aquathlon. Courses use the Area 8 quarry for swims and the trails of Kelso Park for running.
The Mudskipper SwimRun is offered as:
- 10K individual one lap (3 swim stages, 3 run stages)
- 20K individual two laps
Each 10K lap includes about 2.1 km of swimming and 7.9 km of running.
Milton Open Water Swim distances:
- 1.5K
- 3.0K
- 6K
Water temperature is anticipated near 20 degrees Celsius. Swim caps are provided and must be worn. Wetsuits are optional. Chip timing is used for all events.
Milton Runs trail distances:
- 7.5K one lap
- 15K two laps
A water station will be available at the start/finish area. Washrooms and food will be provided on site.
Milton Aquathlon format:
- Run 2.5K, Swim 1K, Run 2.5K on a flat course around the Area 8 quarry.
Events are sanctioned by Triathlon Ontario; participants must hold a Triathlon Ontario membership or may take a one-day membership for CA$8.00. Delay or cancellation will occur only in the event of lightning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
