Muddy River Half Marathon
The Muddy River Half Marathon takes place in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The event is held annually and is currently in its sixth year. The route is designed to highlight several local landmarks, including the Bill Emerson Bridge, the Common Pleas Courthouse, and Old St. Vincent's Church. The course concludes at the riverfront, finishing at the Century Casino.
The race follows a path consisting of roadways and paved trails. The terrain is described as relatively flat. Participants can choose between individual or relay options:

- 13.1 Miles (3 person relay)
For the relay event, teams are responsible for their own transportation to the designated exchange areas along the course.
The event supports community initiatives, with proceeds benefiting local non-profit organizations in the Southeast Missouri region.
