Course details
The marathon begins at Mud Mountain Dam (elevation 1,400 ft) and follows a fully paved, mostly downhill route through farmland and forest along the Carbon River, finishing in front of the historic McMillin Bridge. The half marathon starts in South Prairie (elevation 467 ft) and uses the paved Foothills Rail Trail, passing through farmland and forest and also finishing at the McMillin Bridge. The marathon course is described as fully paved with no tunnel and no dirt, and it is stated to allow Boston qualifying times without a time penalty.
