Event Overview
The Little Steps, Big Dreams Race is an annual running and walking event held in Puyallup, Washington. Now in its 16th year, the event serves as a fundraiser to support the mission of Step By Step, an organization that assists at-risk pregnant women. The proceeds from the event are directed toward programs that help participants deliver healthy babies and establish secure futures.
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- 10 km run
- 5 km walk and run
- 5 km walk (not officially timed)
- Kids Dash for children aged six and under
Course and Location
The event takes place at The Grove, an outdoor preschool area located near Farm 12 and 33rd Street SE. The route leads participants through Van Lierop Park before turning onto the Foothills Trail. Both the start and finish lines for each race are located at The Grove.
Participant Information
Race packets, which include a bib number and shirt, are available for pickup at the Step By Step offices prior to the event. A finisher's celebration follows the race at the event site, featuring coffee, food items, and a dedicated kids zone. The event also includes a raffle; participants who bring a package of diapers or wipes are eligible for entry into the drawing.
