MTC MORAG

MTC MORAG is a single day ultra run forming Day 7 of the MTC SCOTIA nine day end to end series. The published total distance is 44.8 miles and this is the first edition of the event.

The organiser publishes a series of checkpoints along the route, including Knockbain (8.8 miles), Dingwall (18.9 miles), Invergordon (26.4 miles) and Scotsburn Road Tain (34.6 miles), with the finish listed at Eagle Hotel, IV25 3SR. The published start location is Travelodge, Inverness, IV2 7PA. Competitor numbers are limited to 20 plus an additional allowance of 20 for SCOTIA entrants for a maximum field of 40.

The event has preset cut off points based on a minimum average speed of 4.0 miles per hour; competitors who fall below this standard may be withdrawn. Competitors must carry mandatory kit provided by the organiser, including a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, the supplied route maps, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid and emergency food. Each competitor will receive a tracking device with an SOS function and maps or GPX files are distributed to entrants prior to the race.

Entry is non refundable. Standard entry fee and an upgraded race package are listed, and there is an option at checkout to add personal cancellation insurance. The race is cup free so competitors should provide a reusable cup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
