MTC MORAG
The MTC MORAG is a single-day ultra event in Scotland listed as a 45 mile race (route total 44.8 miles). It forms Day 7 of the nine-day MTC SCOTIA series and may be run alongside SCOTIA competitors. The route includes checkpoints at Knockbain, Dingwall, Invergordon and Scotsburn Road and finishes at the Eagle Hotel, IV25 3SR. Competitor numbers are limited to 20 plus an allowance of 20 for SCOTIA entrants, for a maximum of 40 starters.
The organiser enforces preset cut-offs based on a minimum average of 4 mph; falling below this threshold can lead to warnings and withdrawal. Entrants must be at least 20 years old on race day and carry mandatory kit including a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, route maps, compass or GPS, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid and emergency food. URL issues tracking devices with SOS buttons and provides route maps and GPX files to entrants four weeks before the event.
Entry fees are stated as £90 for the race or £155 for a race package that includes a race shirt and hi-viz jacket if ordered at least four weeks before the event. All deposits and payments are non-refundable; an optional personal cancellation insurance upgrade is offered at checkout.
