MTC MORAG
MTC MORAG is a one-day ultra running event held on 2nd June 2028 and presented as Day 7 of the Mount to Coast SCOTIA nine day end-to-end challenge. The organisers list the race distance as 45 miles with a total route distance also recorded as 44.8 miles and an ascent of 2,543 ft.
The published route includes start and finish locations and intermediate checkpoints. Start and finish information in the event details names Travelodge, Inverness and the Eagle Hotel, IV25 3SR, with listed checkpoints at Knockbain, Dingwall, Invergordon and Scotsburn Road. The organiser sets preset cut-off times along the route based on a minimum average speed of 4.0 miles per hour; competitors who fall below that minimum may be withdrawn.
Entries are limited to 20 regular places with an additional allowance of 20 SCOTIA competitors, giving a maximum of 40 participants. Entry fees are listed as £90 for the standard entry and £155 for a plus package that includes a race shirt and a hi-viz jacket if ordered at least four weeks before the event. All finishers receive a MORAG medal and male and female champions receive bespoke trophies.
Maps and GPX files are provided only to entrants, emailed four weeks before the race. Each competitor receives a tracking device with real-time monitoring and an SOS function.
