MTC August Aquathlon

The MTC August Aquathlon is part of a series of popular Tuesday evening events held at the Trafford Water Sports Centre in Sale Water Park. The event features two race categories.

The adult category consists of an 800m swim, completed over two laps, followed by a 5km run, also on a two-lap course. The junior category, for TriStar 3 and Youth participants, covers half the distance: a 400m swim and a 2.5km run.

Registration opens at 17:45 and closes at 18:20 at the venue. Participants who are not members of British Triathlon must purchase a Race Pass to compete. Parking is available on-site near the boathouse restaurant, and the venue is accessible via the Sale Water Park Metrolink stop.

The cost for the single August event is £25 for adults and £12.50 for juniors. A discounted series entry for all five 2026 races is also available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
