Chip Chase

The Chip Chase is a fell running race held in the Peak District near Uppermill, Saddleworth, offering scenic views overlooking Manchester. The course covers 6.2 miles (10 km) with an elevation gain of 1,312 feet (400 meters), featuring well-marked and marshalled paths and one challenging steep climb. It serves as a great introduction to fell running, with a friendly atmosphere and support for slower runners.

Participants must carry full kit including waterproof clothing, compass, map, whistle, and optional food and water. The event is organized by Saddleworth Runners and starts from the Cross Keys Inn.
